Frannie Zlotnick is a Senior Data Scientist at GitHub, where she leads the Research team studying developer communities and workflows. Before joining GitHub, she did graduate work in computational social science at Stanford, where she studied political behavior and institutions and was a fellow at the Center for Philanthropy and Civil Society. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a policy and public opinion reseacher at think tanks and in local government in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., studying anti-poverty programs, immigration, and urban transit and housing policies.
