Jess is a Design Lead of the new Data Science discipline at IDEO. Before it was acquired by IDEO, she was a data scientist with Datascope, a data science consultancy based in Chicago, where she led and executed projects that helped companies across industries solve problems with data in ways that meaningfully addressed people’s needs. She also helps run the Chicago Data Science and Women in Machine Learning & Data Science (WiMLDS) meetups. Outside of IDEO, Jess loves to tinker and create, whether that means whipping up something new in the kitchen, DIY-ing a costume or getting down and dirty with her latest home improvement project.
