Jeffrey Hirsch is responsible for leading the architecture, design and development of Morningstar’s next generation analytics platform, as well the analytics products built on top of it.  He leads a global team of engineers, QA and DevOps whose key objective is to empower Morningstar’s quantitative researchers and behavior scientists in data discovery, model development, and productization of research.  He is also a founding member of Morningstar’s employee resource group “Men as Allies”, whose mission is to promote diversity, by highlighting implicit bias in the workplace and driving dialogue to eliminate it.

Before assuming his current role in 2018, Hirsch was head of technology for all institutional products at Morningstar.  Prior to joining Morningstar in 2013, he held leadership roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BEA Systems (now Oracle), and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.  He holds a bachelor’s degree from The Florida State University.
